HTML Basics

Content management Systems are great for the non-techie but sometimes they drive you bonkers trying to tighten up line spaces or moving a picture. HTML Basics will teach you what HTML is and how it is structured. This session will help make small/quick changes on the go easier by anyone.

Many web content management systems allow users to add and edit content without having to know coding languages. However, understanding basic html and CSS (cascading style sheets) can help a you format web content more freely and efficiently within your CMS.

This course will cover common tools found in content management systems as well as basic html syntax and the purpose of CSS.

• Text formatting techniques using html and css
• Inserting images and other media into pages and posts
• Adding embedded content such as YouTube videos

In the past 10 years Brian has worked in Advertising and digital media, taught courses at the technical school and university level, started a business, and became a husband and father.
